A new air conditioning system is an important investment in your property. When purchasing eligible equipment through PRT Cool Service Inc., ask our team about optional extended warranty plans available for the selected brand and equipment.
We can help you review the options offered through the companies associated with the applicable manufacturer or warranty program. Available plans, eligibility, enrollment deadlines and pricing vary.
Your written agreement defines your coverage. This page provides general information. It does not activate a warranty, approve a claim or replace the terms of a manufacturer’s warranty or an extended service agreement.
These arrangements serve different purposes. Ask which documents apply to your equipment and installation.

A separately selected plan may provide additional protection for eligible AC equipment. Covered items, service costs, duration and limitations depend on the specific agreement.
Any workmanship warranty provided by PRT is described in your installation proposal or written agreement. Review its scope and duration separately from equipment protection.
Our team can help you identify the questions to ask before you enroll.
Confirm the brand, model, serial number, installation date and property use. Ask whether every component of your system is included.
Ask which parts and labor charges are covered. Do not assume a parts warranty also pays for diagnosis, installation or service labor.
Ask about diagnostic charges, refrigerant, shipping, access equipment, deductibles and any other expenses that may remain your responsibility.
Review the enrollment deadline, effective date, coverage period and any waiting period. Keep your registration or enrollment confirmation.
Review any maintenance obligations and recordkeeping requirements. Ask which documents you should retain throughout the plan period.
Confirm who administers the plan, how service is authorized, applicable exclusions and whether transfer or cancellation options are available.
An extended warranty plan and a maintenance agreement have different purposes. A maintenance agreement describes scheduled services; an extended warranty agreement describes eligible covered repairs or costs.
Purchasing one does not automatically enroll you in the other. Review each agreement and ask our office how your maintenance arrangements relate to any requirements of the selected warranty plan.
Do not assume it is included. Review your equipment proposal and purchase documents. An optional extended plan must be identified and enrolled according to the applicable provider’s requirements.
No single plan applies to every purchase. Available programs and terms depend on the brand, equipment, provider and eligibility requirements. Ask about the options for your specific AC.
That depends on the agreement. Ask for a written explanation of covered components, labor allowances and any diagnostic or additional service charges.
Contact our office with your equipment information. Eligibility may depend on the equipment’s age, purchase date, installation history and the provider’s enrollment rules. Availability is not guaranteed.
Contact our office and provide your equipment and agreement information. Before authorizing repairs, review the plan’s claim procedures and any preapproval requirements. Coverage decisions are made under the applicable agreement.
No. An extended warranty does not prevent equipment failure. It defines the protection available for eligible events, subject to its terms, limits and exclusions.
No. Optional AC warranty plans concern eligible equipment protection. PRT’s business insurance information and certificate requests are addressed separately on our Insurance Information page.
Tell us about your equipment purchase or the system you are considering. Our office can help you understand which options may be available.
