Find the restriction. Restore the flow.
A slow sink, a toilet that will not drain or water backing up through a shower can interrupt your home or business. PRT Cool Service Inc. evaluates drainage problems and explains the proposed work before proceeding.
We review which fixtures are affected, where access is available and whether the symptoms suggest a localized clog or a restriction farther along the drain system. Mechanical clearing or hydro jetting may be recommended according to the piping, access and conditions found.
Is wastewater backing up?
Stop using the affected fixtures. If several drains are backing up, avoid running additional water or operating appliances that discharge into the affected system. Keep people and pets away from wastewater.
Call our office to describe the situation and confirm scheduling and emergency availability. Tell us if drain chemicals have already been used.

Kitchen & Bathroom Sink Drains
Evaluation of slow or clogged sink drains, including accessible traps and connected drain piping. We assess the affected fixture and available access before recommending the clearing procedure.
Clogged Toilets
Investigation of toilet stoppages and related drainage problems. We consider whether the restriction is within the fixture or the connected piping and explain any proposed removal or additional access.
Shower & Bathtub Drains
Service for slow drainage, standing water and recurring clogs in showers and tubs. The work considers accessible drain openings, traps and the condition of the existing plumbing.
Branch & Main Drain Lines
Evaluation of restrictions affecting multiple fixtures or connected drain lines. We review accessible cleanouts and reported symptoms to plan the work and determine whether further investigation is needed.
Hydro Jetting
Water jetting uses pressurized water to loosen and flush accumulated grease, soap, sludge and sediment from suitable drain lines. The approach is selected after considering access and the condition of the piping.
Commercial & Facility Drain Service
Coordination with businesses, property managers and facility teams to organize access, authorized contacts and work schedules when drain problems affect an occupied property.
Signs Your Drain System Needs Attention
- Water drains slowly or remains in a sink, shower or bathtub.
- A toilet repeatedly clogs or does not drain normally.
- Water backs up into a different fixture when another is used.
- Several fixtures develop drainage problems at the same time.
- Gurgling occurs when fixtures or appliances discharge water.
- A drain problem returns shortly after it has been cleared.
- Wastewater appears at a floor drain or another low opening.
Similar symptoms can have different causes. A drain restriction, a fixture problem, a venting issue or damaged piping may require different work. An evaluation helps determine the appropriate next step.
How Hydro Jetting Works
A flexible hose and cleaning nozzle are introduced into the drain through an appropriate access point. Water directed through the nozzle helps loosen deposits and flush debris along the line.
The hose is worked through the approved service area, with cleaning passes selected for the conditions encountered. Unlike chemical drain treatments, the jetting process uses water pressure to perform the cleaning.
Suitability depends on the pipe material, condition, configuration and available access. Hydro jetting does not repair broken, collapsed or deteriorated piping. If structural problems are suspected, further investigation or a separate repair may be necessary.
Our Evaluation & Clearing Process
- Review the reported problem. Tell us which fixtures are affected, when the problem began, whether it has happened before and whether any drain chemicals have been used.
- Inspect the accessible conditions. We review the affected fixtures, available cleanouts and practical access to the drain system.
- Explain the proposed work. We discuss the clearing approach, access requirements and scope before proceeding with approved service.
- Perform the approved clearing work. Mechanical clearing or hydro jetting is selected according to the restriction, pipe condition and available access.
- Check drainage at the serviced area. We run water or test the affected fixtures as appropriate to evaluate flow after the work.
- Discuss any remaining concerns. If symptoms persist or damaged piping is suspected, we explain the recommended investigation or repair separately.
Recurring Drain Problems
A drain that repeatedly clogs may need more than another clearing visit. Accumulated deposits, objects in the line, roots, damaged piping or other conditions can contribute to recurring stoppages.
Share the service history and any previous findings. We can discuss whether additional investigation or a planned cleaning approach is appropriate for the property.
Clearing a Clog & Repairing a Pipe
Clearing can remove or reduce a restriction, but it does not rebuild a cracked, collapsed or deteriorated pipe. A line with structural problems may need a separate repair even after drainage has been restored.
If the findings suggest damaged piping or an access problem, we explain the proposed next steps. Opening walls or floors, replacing piping and restoring finishes are included only when part of the approved scope.

Helping Reduce Future Drain Problems
- Keep grease, cooking oil and food scraps out of sink drains.
- Use drain screens to catch hair and other debris.
- Keep wipes, paper towels and hygiene products out of toilets.
- Report recurring slow drainage before a complete backup occurs.
- Keep accessible cleanouts clear of stored items and obstructions.
- Discuss a maintenance plan when a property has repeated drain problems.
Maintenance needs depend on how the system is used and the condition of the piping. Clearing a line cannot prevent every future blockage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does one clogged toilet mean the main drain is blocked?
Not necessarily. The restriction may be inside the toilet or in its connected piping. Several affected fixtures or water backing up elsewhere can indicate a problem farther along the system, but an evaluation is needed.
What is the difference between cable clearing and hydro jetting?
Mechanical cable equipment works through a restriction using a cable and an appropriate attachment. Hydro jetting uses pressurized water through a hose and nozzle to loosen and flush deposits. The choice depends on the blockage, access and pipe condition.
Is hydro jetting suitable for every drain?
No. Pipe condition, material, size, layout and access must be considered. Damaged or deteriorated piping may require a different approach or repair.
What should I do while waiting for service?
Stop using affected fixtures and avoid adding more water to a system that is backing up. Keep people and pets away from wastewater. Tell our office if several fixtures are affected or the condition is worsening.
Should I add drain chemicals before the appointment?
Avoid adding chemicals to a backed-up drain before professional service. If a product has already been used, tell our office and the technician its name and when it was applied.
Why does the same drain keep clogging?
Repeated clogs can result from buildup, objects in the line, roots, damaged piping or other conditions. Additional investigation may be needed to identify the underlying cause.
Will you need to remove a toilet or open a wall?
Access requirements depend on the affected line and available openings. We explain proposed fixture removal, additional access or related repairs before proceeding with that work.
