Find the Source. Plan the Repair.

Water leaks are not always easy to see. A damp floor, a stained ceiling or an unexplained increase in water use may indicate a plumbing problem behind a wall, in an attic or beneath a concrete slab.

PRT Cool Service Inc. evaluates plumbing leaks for homeowners, businesses, property managers and facility teams. We review the reported symptoms, inspect accessible conditions and explain the proposed next steps before repair work begins.

Have an Active Water Leak?

If you can safely reach the water shutoff valve, turn off the affected supply or the main water supply. Keep clear of standing water near outlets, appliances or electrical equipment.

Signs You May Have a Water Leak

  • An unexplained increase in water use or your water bill.
  • Water meter movement when fixtures and water-using equipment are turned off.
  • The sound of running water when no water is being used.
  • Damp flooring, wet baseboards or recurring moisture.
  • Water stains, peeling paint or bubbling wall and ceiling finishes.
  • A warm area of flooring that may be associated with a hot water line.
  • Reduced water pressure or persistent musty odors.

These signs can have more than one cause. Rainwater intrusion, condensation and drain problems may also produce moisture. Identifying the source comes first.

Our Evaluation & Repair Process

  1. Review the reported concern. Share the property location, when the problem started and any photos, water bill changes or visible damage.
  2. Inspect accessible conditions. We review the affected area, accessible plumbing and available shutoff points.
  3. Determine the investigation needed. Testing and access requirements depend on the property and symptoms. We explain additional investigation before proceeding.
  4. Discuss the proposed repair. Once the source is identified, we review repair options, access needs and the proposed scope for approval.
  5. Complete the approved plumbing work. We carry out the agreed repair and check the repaired area under operating conditions.
  6. Coordinate related repairs when needed. Wall, ceiling or floor restoration can be discussed and included in a separate defined scope.

Repair Options for Hidden Water Lines

Some leaks can be repaired at an accessible connection. Others may require an opening in a wall, ceiling or concrete floor. Depending on pipe condition and routing, options may include a localized repair, replacement of an affected section or rerouting a water line.

We discuss the proposed approach before opening finished surfaces. Leak investigation, plumbing repair and finish restoration are defined according to the approved scope.

Coordinating Plumbing with Property Repairs

A concealed leak may affect more than the pipe itself. If access or restoration work is needed, our plumbing and general contracting services can help coordinate the sequence of work under a defined scope.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a high water bill mean I have a slab leak?

No. Increased water use, irrigation, running toilets and other plumbing leaks can also increase a bill. An evaluation helps determine where the water is going.

Will you need to open my floor or wall?

Access depends on the leak location and existing conditions. We discuss any proposed opening and the related scope before proceeding.

Can you repair a leaking copper water line?

We evaluate the affected pipe and surrounding conditions to recommend an appropriate repair. A localized repair may be suitable, or a larger section may need replacement.

Is wall or floor restoration included?

Restoration is included only when it is part of the approved scope. We can discuss coordinating related construction and finish repairs.

What should I send when requesting service?

Send the property address, contact information, a description of the symptoms and clear photos of the affected area. For commercial properties, include access instructions and work order information when applicable.
